I’ve been meaning to make a video of him doing math for a while….and this is what we came up with.

Note also that this was the very first time I asked him to stand up and use a board like this. His writing generally stinks but I think his presentation skills are pretty impressive despite essentially zero practice.  I said to my nodding wife, “Just imagine how good he’ll be in front of a room after he’s done this 100 times!”

Is he in fact a genius?

Not at all – and I apologize for the imprecise diction.

John’s merely the product of a deliberate, parentally-directed educational plan.
